More than 150 advanced robotics technologies have been displayed at WAIC 2025, marking swift humanoid and industrial robotics technology development across China.
At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, the robotics industry of China achieved one of its greatest milestones, with more than 150 robots being revealed as the largest and most ambitious product lineup yet.
Over 80 robotics companies were involved, exhibiting more than 60+ intelligent robotic models equipped with embodied intelligence. Major companies like Dobot Robotics, Unitree Robotics, Deep Robotics and Cyborg Robotics have shown advanced technologies in the form of humanoid buddies to industrial quadrupeds.
Dobot Robotics attracted visitors with a presentation of a new robotic arm using the large-language model of Tencent Robotics X, based on which the robot demonstrated his advanced decision-making skills and was able to communicate in a natural way. Unitree Robotics announced its third-generation humanoid robot, capable of performing complex tasks such as drumming and calligraphy, while Deep Robotics showcased its upgraded robotic dogs that interact with AI in real time for applications in both industry and education.
Cyborg Robotics introduced a heavy-duty humanoid robot of the highest level in China, which is used in industrial work due to the growing trend of automation and intelligent production in this country. Companions of WAIC pointed out that the business of Chinese humanoid robotics moves towards its usage, and the need increases in healthcare, logistics, and the retail sector.
With the support of manufacturing, AI data, and policy, China is rapidly emerging as a leader in robotics, aiming to bridge the gap between itself and international counterparts within 20 to 30 years.
