India–USA expands AI Mission collaborations

Santech Global USA has announced new India–USA semiconductor and AI mission collaborations to strengthen cross-border innovation, technology partnerships, and talent development in strategic industries.

New Jersey and India-based Santech Global USA recently announced that it is starting a project to further its India–Semiconductor and AI mission collaborations.

According to a news release from Santech, this is a strategic technological effort aimed at creating a globally integrated semiconductor and AI ecosystem through workforce development, research, innovation, and manufacturing collaborations. In order to facilitate semiconductor design, prototype, validation, advanced packaging collaboration, AI research, and technology commercialization, the proposal calls for the construction of a Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Technology Campus on about 23 acres of land in India.

“These collaborations are intended to support semiconductor research, workforce development, innovation programs, advanced packaging technologies, prototyping activities, and industry-academia partnerships.” -  Santech said in its press release.

CIO Bulletin reports that leading academic and scientific institutions, such as NY CREATES and the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, have approved and collaborated with Santech Global.

The Purpose of the Mission is to Assist:

  • AI-focused heterogeneous computing platforms

  • Semiconductor architecture and chip design

  • Embedded systems and MEMS technologies

  • Semiconductor intellectual property development

  • Advanced packaging and testing partnerships; product engineering and validation

  • Workforce training and certification programs; and university-industry innovation initiatives.

AI-enabled edge computing, healthcare electronics, industrial automation, Internet of Things systems, and smart infrastructure applications are anticipated to be the main emphasis of Santech's first generation of semiconductor products. Santech Global stated that it is working with state-sponsored organizations, academic institutions, research facilities, and business partners to develop a Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence as part of its U.S. expansion strategy.

Based on its present assessment, the company hopes to achieve positive investor returns starting in the fourth year of operations, with long-term annual returns of roughly 12%, contingent on market circumstances and execution milestones.

For engineers, scientists, researchers, software developers, semiconductor experts, and advanced manufacturing specialists in India and the US, the program aims to provide high-value job opportunities.
