Grocery Connect, Kroger’s fee-free delivery service, opens second Dallas location and plans more centers to combat food deserts.
Kroger-powered Grocery Connect has revealed its second pickup location in Dallas, continuing its mission to improve food availability. Opened on July 26, the new center at the Dallas Bethlehem Center on Leland Ave joins the initial pickup site, launched in February at the Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC).
This expansion reflects Grocery Connect’s commitment to serving underserved neighborhoods, offering residents in South Dallas the convenience of ordering groceries online through Kroger’s app. Shoppers can pick up their orders at either of the two staffed centers, with the added benefit of accessing in-store prices and a selection of over 33,000 products.
The service requires a minimum purchase of $35 and accepts payments via credit, debit, or EBT cards. Additionally, Grocery Connect assists with determining SNAP eligibility and enrollment, further enhancing its role in supporting local communities.
With plans for a third center slated for Q1 2025, and more locations in the pipeline, Grocery Connect aims to eliminate food deserts and provide vital grocery access to more areas. This initiative utilizes Kroger's existing e-commerce infrastructure to offer a no-fee delivery service dedicated to increasing food access and supporting neighborhood needs.
