Starlink is ready to break the new boundaries of telecom in India by launching satellite broadband, which would close the digital divide in isolated areas.

Starlink is in the last stage until it launches its telecom and broadband services that are highly anticipated in India. The firm is waiting to get the final pricing structure by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which should be following the expected timeline of the end of 2025. A commercial launch might then come in 2026, which will significantly change the telecom connectivity of India.

The parent company of Starlink, under the name SpaceX, has set up building the telecom infrastructure of India, including ten satellite gateways throughout India. The center of operation will be located in Mumbai; some ground stations are also being completed and inspected. This action leaves Starlink in the lead over the emerging satellite telecom markets of rivals such as Reliance Jio Space Fiber and OneWeb of Eutelsat.

At the beginning of this year, the authorities in India authorized the activities of Starlink and assigned it certain frequency bands. Advancements in the company are an indicator that India has increased its telecom coverage, especially to the underserved and rural regions, where conventional networks are failing to provide a stable network.
