Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan expand cooperation in the area of science and technology: increase research cooperation on science and technology, innovation and joint projects in IT and AI.

Kazakhstan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, held talks with Munir Eldesouki, President of the King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology (KACST) where he said that bilateral cooperation between the two nations would be strengthened with regard to science and technology, Kazinform News Agency reported.

The event emphasized the growing alliances between the research provided by Kazakhstani and Saudi scientific centers. Much attention was paid by Ambassador Menilbekov to the recent successes of Kazakhstan in science and technology where he underlined the strengthening of the technical potential of the country and the coping of its adaptation to the modern trends of the economy.

The two parties talked about cooperation in the fields of IT, AI, and startup ecosystems. The young generation of Kazakh scientists and technological workers has participated successfully in Saudi-based forums and acceleration programs in terms of sharing information in the science and technology world.

President Eldesouki also accepted the offer of the Kazakh scientists to move the relationship of the two countries to a higher level in the scientific background. He also demonstrated the current and upcoming projects by KACST to establish it as one of the regional centers of science and technology.

The encounter symbolizes a wider attempt by Kazakhstan to construct international alliances in science and technology in addition to capitalizing on its emerging growth of innovation.
