Global AgriTech Seminar Calls for Youth Innovation

The Aberdeen Global AgriTech Innovation Seminar 2025 has underlighted agro tech by young people, highlighting the need to enter into bold and innovative partnerships to revolutionize the once-conceived agricultural sector and provide food security.

The event Global AgriTech Innovation Seminar 2025 took place in the One Tech Hub in Aberdeen, where the creators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs gathered to envision the future of agricultural production.

Dr. Idongesit Mbaram, founder and CEO of Global Youth AgriTech Network (GYANT), encouraged young people to adopt technology as one of the drivers of change in expanding and making agriculture a climate-resilient and globally integrated industry. She said, "We now have the tools, now that we have technology in our hands, to make the moral right of food a reality."

Themed Cultivating the Future: Linking AgriTech Innovation to Impact Capital, the event focused on the way in which agro tech can solve food security issues, climate change, and high population development rates. According to the speakers, a change in a shift towards data-driven, profitable, and efficient farming was best, instead of just hard and unprofitable.

Jerry Cunningham of American West African Agro Ltd. observed that agriculture technology is changing the views, as some are providing avenues through which the youths would excel as job initiators. Professionals also emphasized the need to finance the project, incorporate relevant policies, and ensure alignment with local requirements.

Dr. Adekunle Oke and Bolaji Akinboro, among other panelists, discussed different tactics of empowering SMEs, cabin AI, and expanding agro tech adoption. Officials in the public sector demonstrated solar-powered cold hubs and mobile technologies that assisted farmers in Africa.

The seminar ended by advising taking bold actions and young innovations to achieve food security, climate resilience, and sustainable agricultural development.
