India’s leap ahead in big data is pointed out by Claude Smadja, who says it has catapulted India to become a leading worldwide technology player at IGIC 2025, Bengaluru.
Claude Smadja, former Managing Director of the World Economic Forum, says India’s strength in big data has made it a strong presence in global innovation. Smadja pointed out at the India Global Innovation Connect (IGIC) 2025 in Bengaluru that India leads the world when it comes to gathering data and using it for AI and deep tech growth.
According to Smadja, India is currently facing an important change. In the future, India may surprise us with important achievements in data and big data.
He pointed out that big data is key to today’s technological progress and a clear strategy may allow India to bypass major global companies. Although the U.S. is losing some traction and China has dealt with its main issues, Smadja considers this the time for India to surge ahead.
After five decades of involvement, Smadja detailed that India’s economy is in a constant state of ups and downs, but now is the ideal time for it to take advantage of its strengths in technology and data-related fields.
The IGIC 2025 summit which took place on June 4 and 5, saw global industry leaders from the United States, Japan, Korea and Germany visit India and showcase India’s growing role in big data and tech.
