Masdar Invests in Spain’s Valle Solar to Boost Clean Energy Goals

The Spanish Valle Solar facility obtains Masdar investment which functions as a 234 MW project and works toward clean energy milestones alongside 259 MW storage capabilities set to begin operation in 2027.

The Abu Dhabi-based company Masdar utilizes its subsidiary Saeta to invest in Valle Solar which operates as a 234 MW solar project located in Spain's Valencia region. The 2027 operational target for this facility includes a potential 259 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) which will enhance Spain’s clean energy transition as well as progress Masdar’s objective to achieve a 100 GW clean energy portfolio by 2030.

Genia Solar Energy and Solar Ventures developed the Valle Solar project to cover the Spanish territories between Ayora, Jarafuel and Zarra. Masdar’s sustainability program includes biodiversity integration while developing local community programs. The investment demonstrates critical advancement of Masdar’s European expansion along with Spain’s robust leadership in renewable power production.

Saeta Yield, Genia Solar and Solar Ventures have established a strategic agreement to enhance the production of sustainable energy. The transaction gained support from advisory firms Watson Farley & Williams together with G-advisory and EY and Finergreen which assisted Solar Ventures and Genia Solar Energy and Saeta Yield received advice from Broseta and Solida and Pérez-Llorca.

Masdar expands its position as a worldwide clean energy innovator through this investment which brings lasting advantages for both environment and economy.
