Squadron Energy uses the financing to develop Clarke Creek Wind Farm, which enhances a clean energy shift and massive green power generation in Australia.
A significant advancement in relation to the clean energy goal is the fact that Squadron Energy has raised well over 1 billion dollars in funding to jumpstart the construction of the Clarke Creek Wind Farm in Australia. The company's current bank system provided strong support for the financing structure, which involved a 10-partner capital consortium.
The Clarke Creek project is set to be one of the largest clean energy resources in the country, providing enormous power output in the form of wind power and aiding in the change of the Australian electricity system to a more sustainable system. Stage one of the development has already begun operations, whereby there are 100 turbines producing 450 megawatts, which is enough to power 330,000 Queensland homes and eliminate 738,000 tonnes of carbon pollution every year.
When both are fully operational, the Clarke Creek Wind Farm will be one of the largest wind farms in Australia, capable of providing clean energy of up to over 1 gigawatt, large enough to support over 700,000 households. The growth highlights the increased momentum on renewable infrastructure and it underlines the current move of Squadron Energy to be a frontrunner in encouraging the clean energy transformation in the country.
The secured financing is said to imply investor confidence in renewables at a large scale and also ensures that Australia stays on the road towards a more resilient, greener future energy outlook.
