The global consulting firm expands its federal technology footprint as demand for advanced analytics and cybersecurity grows.
Tetra Tech has taken a major step to expand its data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities by acquiring Halvik Corp, a Virginia-based technology firm known for its work with U.S. defense and civilian agencies.
The acquisition brings Halvik’s expertise in data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, systems modernization, and cybersecurity into Tetra Tech’s growing digital solutions portfolio. With this move, Tetra Tech deepens its relationships with key federal clients, including the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Department of Transportation.
Halvik, headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, employs around 600 professionals and has built a strong reputation for delivering mission-critical technology solutions to government agencies. The company will now operate within Tetra Tech’s Government Services Group, helping expand advanced digital services across federal programs.
Tetra Tech President and CEO-designate Roger Argus said the addition of Halvik strengthens the company’s ability to deliver high-end analytics and technology solutions where they are needed most. Halvik CEO Dr. Madhavi Bathula noted that joining Tetra Tech provides access to a global platform while combining innovation with deep industry experience.
The acquisition follows a series of strategic wins for Tetra Tech. The company recently secured a $500 million, five-year contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for environmental cleanup services across multiple regions. It was also selected to support the expansion of Ireland’s national power grid.
Alongside its growth initiatives, Tetra Tech announced leadership updates, with Roger Argus set to become CEO in February 2026, signaling a clear focus on long-term strategy, innovation, and strong governance.
