Mastercard collaborates with Enza to extend FinTech to more people in Africa so no one is left behind in the digital financial inclusion process.
Mastercard is in a strategic partnership with Enza, a financial solutions provider to fortify the FinTech ecosystem in Africa. The partnership will be used to tie together the new FinTech firms to the network of Mastercard around the world so that the latter can create embedded payments using the platform of Enza.
As Africa is experiencing an upsurge in FinTech activity, the project will facilitate transitioning to a new era, with renewed financial and inclusive solutions. This cooperation enables FinTech providers to increase the number of Mastercard cards issued, manage merchant accounts, and simplify the delivery of payment services through offline, online, and in-app channels.
The two companies shared a common vision towards making the integration process simple, the development process fast, and more secure for FinTech startups. Enza will also contain consumer and merchant accounts and allow regulatory compliance to ensure smooth access to the tools of Mastercard.
This step is consistent with the previous efforts of Mastercard to promote financial inclusion and to be a part of a digital transformation of African economies. Enza has recently allied with TerraPay, which helps enhance mobile wallet integration and considers this partnershipenhancement of the African business infrastructure.
The Mastercard-Enza collaboration will enable faster innovation to bring financial access to people on the continent through its scalable FinTech applications in line with local markets.
