Genesys’ acquisition of nGUVU implies that the solution provider is outfitting its WEM suite with AI-powered gamification, designed to improve employee engagement and performance, in an attempt to challenge its main market rivals.
Global customer service solutions provider Genesys has announced the acquisition of Montreal-based nGUVU to incorporate AI base gamification into its Workforce Engagement Management or WEM portfolio. A strategic partner of the Genesys AppFoundry partner program, nGUVU will enhance the solutions that Genesys offers through its WEM platform.
Cameron Smith, the VP of Product Management at Genesys, emphasized that 93% of nGUVU’s customers are clients of Genesys, so integration is straightforward. This acquisition aligns with Genesys’ vision to consolidate WEM development into a single solution set and take on market leaders, NICE and Verint.
To this end, by integrating nGUVU’s AI capabilities, Genesys is on its way towards realizing its mission of being a front-runner in workforce engagement. Another angle is that Genesys leverages Montreal as a rich AI environment to expand its portfolio with innovation and outstanding solutions that improve customer and employee interactions worldwide.
