Taraf, an Emirati real estate developer has signed a deal with global fashion brand Karl Lagerfeld to build luxury villas in Dubai, the brand’s third international project.
An agreement has been signed by Emirati real estate developer Taraf with global fashion and accessory brand Karl Lagerfeld to construct opulent villas in Dubai. This will be the first residential real estate project in the Middle East and Karl Lagerfeld's third internationally. The German designer and photographer who created the company in 1984 died in 2019, leaving behind a collection of opulent homes in Marbella, Spain. This year, the brand revealed plans to construct a high-rise in Malaysia with a hotel and opulent apartments.
Karl Lagerfeld's most recent endeavor aligns with a real estate investment approach that has gained popularity among many players in the fashion and luxury industries in recent years. Brands such as Versace, Elie Saab, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, and Fendi are well aware that many wealthy buyers place a great value on purchasing branded homes, particularly when equipped with the labels' own home décor items.
According to a press release, Karl Lagerfeld's Dubai villas will offer a window into the varied world of the Hamburg-born designer, honoring the essence embodied in his catchphrase, "Embrace the present and invent the future."
Karl Lagerfeld's collections are known for their timeless, rock-chic pieces with a Parisian flair. The founder and designer of the brand, who went by the same name, was a well-known personality in the fashion business and the inspiration behind brands like Chanel and Fendi.
