Shoppers can use virtual try-on to try over 270,000 items across Walmart’s private brands.
American multinational retail corporation, Walmart has recently rolled out a brand new virtual fitting room to push shoppers to purchase more clothes. This innovative virtual try-on tool will enable the shoppers to see how a shirt, dress, or another clothing item fits them or would look on their bodies. It is the newest feature the company has added to its website because after acquiring Zeekit, a virtual fitting room startup.
With this latest tool customers can choose either option, using their image or a model that is similar. Virtual try-on will use a scan of a person’s body to leverage a more accurate sense of how fabric drapes, a color looks, or where a sleeve or hem hits — without them having to step inside of a store.
The company has stated the virtual try-on tool uses advanced algorithms and machine learning technology, which was originally used to develop more accurate topographic maps. According to the reports, shoppers can use virtual try-on to try over 270,000 items across Walmart’s private brands. With this tool, shopping for clothes becomes more fun and hassle-free.
