Interview Highlights

Mrs. Natasha Panetta, your journey as a Founder & self-proclaimed Mumpreneur of Busy Goddess Marketing Co. is truly inspiring. Can you share the spark of inspiration or pivotal moment that led to the creation of Busy Goddess, and how your personal values of integrity and connection shaped its foundation?

Busy Goddess was born out of both frustration and clarity. After over two decades in corporate marketing—grinding, commuting, missing milestones—I realized I was building brands I did not believe in, with little room for integrity or personal connection. Becoming a mum shifted my priorities. I wanted to work with people I aligned with, for businesses doing meaningful things. I created Busy Goddess as a space where values lead, relationships matter, and marketing feels personal, because it is.

The name “Busy Goddess” evokes a sense of empowerment and dynamism. What’s the story behind choosing this name, and how does it reflect the ethos of your Illawarra-based agency?

The name “Busy Goddess” came from a running joke among friends and clients—every woman I knew was doing everything for everyone while quietly building empires. I wanted a name that honored that spirit: powerful, multitasking, creative women who get it done. It is cheeky, feminine, and strong—just like the clients I am honored to work with. Based in the Illawarra, my agency reflects this mix of grounded local heart and fierce feminine energy.

As a standout in the “Global Best Companies of the Year 2025” issue, how does Busy Goddess Marketing Co. balance global marketing trends with localised strategies to resonate with diverse Australian communities?

I am fluent in all marketing worlds—from global insights and local relevance to hands-on design, development, and implementation. Whether it’s navigating social media algorithms or adapting a global brand or trend to regional Australian audiences, I ground every campaign in the actual people we are speaking to. That means research, empathy, and never templating strategy. My clients trust me to bring big-brand thinking to small-business realities, with an Aussie tone when needed and authenticity that lands.

Your agency offers a holistic suite of services, from brand creation to website development, through to media buying & full strategy. How do you ensure that each bespoke solution not only meets but elevates your clients’ aspirations, particularly for women-driven businesses aiming to make a difference?

I do not just deliver work—I partner. From the first discovery call, I dive deep into my clients’ “why,” vision, and lived experience. Every piece of strategy or design is crafted to reflect who my clients are and where they are headed. For women-led businesses especially, that often means weaving in values, voice, and vision in a way that is bold and unapologetic. It is not just marketing—it is legacy-building.

In an era where marketing can feel impersonal, Busy Goddess emphasises a hands-on, one-on-one approach. Can you share a unique process or creative ritual your team employs to infuse that distinctive touch into every project?

I have what I call—like most agencies—a first Discovery Session: an extended, free-flowing conversation (sometimes with coffee, sometimes wine!) where I uncover the real gold: their quirks, passions, backstories, and why-they-do-it moments. These sessions shape everything—taglines, visuals, campaign angles—ensuring each project feels like them, not just “good marketing.” The foundational steps are the most crucial.

You describe your company as small but mighty. What’s an out-of-the-box technique or unconventional tool you use to spark creativity and deliver cutting-edge campaigns?

I am obsessed with brand boards and creative strategy that feels real—both digital and physical—especially when taking a client with an existing brand to the next level. But here’s the twist: I mix client insights with relevant pop culture, personal memory, even scent and music. It sparks unexpected connections and unlocks fresh creative territory that cookie-cutter agencies just don’t reach. I also believe in elevating clients and their projects to stay ahead of the curve, which includes things like website accessibility plugins and tools to deliver a well-thought-out and well-planned online presence.

As a leader passionate about supporting women who drive change, how do you weave empowerment and social good into your marketing strategies, and what ripple effects have you seen in the communities your clients serve?

I always ask: What bigger impact does my brand or a client’s brand want to make? Whether it’s highlighting First Nations voices, promoting body positivity, or shifting narratives around mental health, I find ways to embed purpose into campaigns without making it feel tokenistic. The ripple effect is real—I have seen clients grow, donate more to worthy and fitting causes, hire more locals, build on their strong female-focused circles, and even shift conversations in their industries. That is the power of meaningful marketing and real conversations.

Looking ahead to the future of Busy Goddess Marketing Co., what bold or innovative plans do you have in store to redefine marketing for your clients in 2025 and beyond?

2025 is about scaling without selling out—an elevation in systems and processes to ensure the expected level of design and strategy is delivered, with the same heart and hustle I bring to every client. I am also expanding our social impact arm, helping clients align with causes that matter most to them, and refocusing on PR strategies to support these partnerships.
