Mass General Brigham teams up with Philips to merge medical device information into clinical knowledge which enables AI-enhanced patient care.
The Boston-based healthcare provider Mass General Brigham (MGB) works alongside Royal Philips for medical device data integration and clinical insight use in healthcare progress. Medical devices that stream real-time data along with patient medical records from records and EHR data form the core objective of this collaboration.
The partnership works toward developing an expandable system for instant data delivery so medical staff can study data as it enters the healthcare network. Medical device data collects with other sources to enhance both operational efficiency and treatment quality in patient care.
Dr. Tom McCoy the Medical Director of Biomedical Engineering at Massachusetts General Hospital stated that they use AI technology alongside medical device information to enhance operational effectiveness and patient security. Data from medical devices will be processed by the Philips' Capsule Medical Device Information Platform to automatically generate real-time alerts which direct clinical staff into intervention actions.
The collaboration between MGB and Philips targets two primary objectives including data integration advancement as well as predictive AI algorithm development. Research will begin with investigating real-time heart monitoring data to enhance rapid detection methods for cardiac situations and important medical conditions.
The partnership advocates a substantial progress in the application of sophisticated AI and data analytic approaches which enhance clinical performance and medical decisions while improving patient end results.
