Six companies were reserved on charges of cheating a Surat-based firm after they failed to pay 2.23 crore rupees to purchase medical devices provided by them in seven years..
Vesu police have filed a case of cheating against the directors of six companies on the charge of defrauding Surat-based medical devices manufacturer Envision Scientific Pvt. Ltd. of 2.23 crore. This case was registered when Chintan Kapadiya, the director of Envision Scientific, complained about years of unpaid dues.
As per the FIR, Envision Scientific and its partner, Concept Medical Research Pvt. Ltd., had provided medical devices to these companies in the past seven years. The payments were pending in spite of several notices, e-mails, and reminders.
The alleged companies are Sakshi Enterprise (Raipur), Bright Cardio Care (Perambalur), SVR Medical Technologies (Thane), Meditree Health Solutions (Hyderabad), Hindustan Enterprises (Ranchi), and Infinite Medical Solutions (Mumbai). The provided products were said to be Albuminous, Mitigator, Nostrum and MagicTouch which were manufactured in the Sachin industrial area of Concept Medical.
Kapadiya stressed that his companies fulfilled all their delivery commitments but they still experienced the problem of non-payment, which led to financial pressure. The six firms have been booked by Vesu police under sections of the IPC, and an investigation has been initiated.
One of the issues promoted by the case is the increased anxiety concerning unethical trade associations in the medical devices sector in India, which adversely affects the manufacturers who are concerned with quality and prompt service. The priority at this point, as the investigation continues, is to hold everyone accountable and to rebuild confidence in the medical device supply chain.
