Mediacom shares memorial plans through public relations outreach honoring founder Rocco B. Commisso in Florence.
Mediacom Communications is going to conduct a memorial service in Florence, Italy, in memory of its founder, chairman, and chief executive officer, Rocco B. Commisso. The announcement is the formal PR communication of the company to world stakeholders, partners and communities related to the Commisso legacy.
This service will be held on the 26th of January 2026, and will be at 6:00 pm local time at the Duomo di Firenze, which is also called the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. The historic location tells of the special attachment that Commisso had to Florence and its culture.
According to a statement issued by Mediacom public relations, Giuseppe B. Commisso, the son of the late executive, said Florence was particularly dear to his father. He pointed out the lifelong love that Commisso had of the city and the football club he owned, ACF Fiorentina, and framed the memorial as an event about living and not only a time of grief.
The business also gave its best wishes to the staff, players, employees, and supporters of Fiorentina globally, which strengthened the scope of the community influence of the leadership of Commisso. Observers, however, observe that the message is presented in a respectful PR manner in the carefully framed message, straddling between corporate communication and remembrance of a person.
The invitation to the entire populace of Florence, clearly communicated by the PR department of Mediacom, aims to ensure that the company remains transparent, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, which will have a lasting impact on local businesses, sports, and the lives of the people in Florence, who will continue to feel the effects of Rocco B. Commisso's legacy long after his passing.
