Making an early decision to start a 59 MW solar unit, Juniper Green Energy contributes to the renewable energy targets in India by implementing its hybrid project for a solar power plant in Maharashtra.
Juniper Green Energy has successfully implemented the 59 MWp solar technology from its 75 MW hybrid power project in Wardha, Maharashtra, significantly ahead of its original schedule. This is a significant step toward the renewable energy goals of the company as it has been commissioned June 6, 2025, which is 17 months earlier than the scheduled one.
The Juniper Green Power Five Project comprises 75 MW of contracted solar and 26.4 MW of wind power. PPA has been awarded to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), and the entire project may be completed in November 2026.
Ankush Malik, Juniper Green Energy CEO, added, "This early commissioning of the Juniper Green Energy Karanja Hybrid Project reflects our manufacturing power and is in line with our renewable energy targets."
Juniper Green Energy based in Delhi NCR has emerged as one of the biggest independent power producer companies that specialize in projects such as solar, wind and hybrids. Since it started in 2018, the firm has increased its operational capacity to 1.1 GWp.
AT Capital Group as a part of which Juniper is located keeps strengthening the clean energy transition in India. AT Capital too has spread its interests in renewable energy in various locations such as the GCC, Europe, and the U.S.
The commissioning of this early initiative coincides with the Indian effort to have clean energy infrastructure, which will serve to further immortalize the role played by Juniper Green Energy in promoting renewable energy development in the country.
