Checkmarx Partners With CredShields for Web3 Security

Checkmarx and CredShields join forces in order to increase the security of decentralized applications based on AI-driven audits and increased blockchain security.

Checkmarx has declared a strategic alliance with CredShields to extend application security on an enterprise-grade level to ecosystems of decentralization. The partnership combines Checkmarx's application security management with CredShields' Web3 knowledge to tackle the new weaknesses found in blockchain platforms and smart contracts.

As the market of worldwide application security is expected to hit growth of $55 billion by 2029, organizations are dealing with emerging risks once the decentralization architectures generate the different attack surfaces, which cannot be entirely adequately dealt with by traditional conversation tools. Studies indicate that almost 89 percent of smart contracts are vulnerable, and on the other end, the number of DeFi attacks and cryptocurrency frauds is increasing to over 2.1 billion in 2025.

With the introduction of CredShields as a smart contract audit service based on AI, vulnerability research, and blockchain security tooling becoming standard parts of the Checkmarx platform, businesses can further expand their DevSecOps initiatives into Web3 with little effort. The alliance concentrates on all-inclusive security coverage of decentralized applications, wallets, and smart contracts underpinned by explainable AI and manual person-to-person checks.

Both companies will equally cooperate on international standards like the OWASP Smart Contract Security Standards to ensure the uniformity of best practices in the industry.

CredShields co-founder Shashank argues that the alliance provides a hassle-free overlay of security to enterprise systems in a decentralized setting. This was echoed by Checkmarx leadership, who pointed to the fact that organizations need a high standard level of blockchain security as they move to Web3.

The combination is going to contemporize application protection in the era of decentralization and give availability, responsibility, and reliable security to the upcoming generation of digital achievement.
