Three heritage hotels opened in Jeddah’s historic district

The Jeddah Historic District initiative is transforming three old Al Balad homes into luxurious hotels, preserving their original layout and decor while incorporating local expertise.

Three old homes in Al Balad, known as the House of Jokhdar, Kedwan, and Al Rayess, are being revitalized into opulent hotels by the Jeddah Historic District initiative. The UNESCO-protected region on the Saudi Arabian West Coast is undergoing a meticulous restoration process, utilizing local expertise and historians' labor. The hotels, which offer sumptuous modernity while maintaining their original layout and decor, are part of the Jeddah Historic District initiative.

The hotel, a unique retreat in Al Balad, features nine spacious rooms and suites, including the Royal Suite, Dar Neem Suite, and Deluxe Suite, and offers guests a stunning roof terrace with breathtaking views of the city's historic core.

Beit Al Rayess' six suites and rooms boast high ceilings, reflecting the building's grandeur. The boutique hotel blends with its surroundings, bridging the gap between tradition and luxury. It offers contemporary amenities, making guests feel at home while incorporating tradition.

Beit Kedwan is a modern heritage hotel with two guestrooms available for full rental and several living areas that blend modern comforts with traditional Arabian style. It also features a private rooftop terrace with stunning Arabian skyline views for dining.

The properties are part of a larger rehabilitation project involving 34 heritage properties, with 17 of the 165 keys set to open by 2027, marking the first opening.
