CIOBulletin - Brian Gleason to Lead AdTech Innovator Seedtag

Brian Gleason comes on board as CEO of Seedtag to guide the AdTech Company as it continues to expand its operations globally through emotion-based advertising with AI technology.

Seedtag has announced that Brian Gleason, who was the Criteo executive, will replace its current CEO on August 1. With the advanced technological solution of neuro-contextual AI, the company Seedtag localizes ad placement based on the emotional expressions in digital video and web content.

Having previously worked at Criteo as the global chief revenue officer and subsequently the president of retail media, Gleason is joining Seedtag at a critical point in the AdTech business. Seedtag is a programmatic advertising company that was created in Madrid in 2014 by former Google employees Jorge Poyatos and Albert Nieto, with the distinction of bringing emotional intelligence to the programmatic advertising industry.

Employing more than 700 people worldwide, and with an increasing market share in all regions, including the U.S., EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, Seedtag is developing fast. The company recently bought the CTV-focused platform Beachfront for a payment of 250 million dollars, with Advent International funding the project.

Gleason commended Seedtag in their revolutionary application of the agentic AI and thinks that the company will control the future of AdTech as it will place advertising back into the context of human emotion. The combination of AI and contextual targeting is attracting the attention of the AdTech marketplace, as long as it is achieved in a unique way like Seedtag.

The founder Poyatos and Nieto will continue to stay on the board with the shift of Poyatos as the chief innovation officer. A management change at Seedtag is an indication that the company aims to dominate the next generation of AdTech transition.
