Adani CFO assured that Haifa port in Israel was not hit in the missile attack and the cargo operations have been unaffected.
Adani Enterprises Group CFO Jugeshinder (Robbie) Singh confirmed that the Haifa port of the company in Israel is working normally after the recent Iranian missile attack. According to the CFO, the facilities of the port were not harmed, and he dismissed any claims made by the media otherwise.
The CFO in a tweet assured stakeholders that the Adani-run port operations were working as normal with regard to cargo. A source indicated eight ships mustered in the port, normal cargo activities, and the same stance held by the CFO.
The missile which was launched by Iran in revenge for the attack unleashed by Israel was said to have been aimed at the Haifa Port and an oil refinery nearby. The CFO, however, stressed that nothing was affecting the port which should give stability in the logistics and supply chain operations.
Adani Ports has a 70 percent stake in one of Israel's major maritime ports, through which more than 30 percent of Israeli imports are carried out. Although the cargo volume of Adani Ports and SEZ from this port is less than 2 percent, it contributes nearly 5 percent to the group's revenue.
