Anthropic Launches Voice Mode for Claude Chatbot

Anthropic has added voice mode for the Claude chatbot, so users can now use voice commands, connect with Google Workspace and switch between writing and speaking easily.

American AI startup Anthropic PBC which leads in the space, has unveiled a pilot version of voice support for its chatbot Claude. Developing minds will soon benefit from this new feature, revealed by the company via their X channel, using the updated Claude Sonnet 4.

Users can interact with the chatbot using one of five different speech modes in the voice mode. The allowance for voice messages is only about 20-30 for free users, yet paid users enjoy much larger usage limits. Besides, by becoming paid users, you can integrate the chatbot’s voice feature with Google Workspace, so you can use Google apps with ease.

The video demonstrated that by using their voice, users can instruct the chatbot to access Gmail, Google Docs and Google Calendar. A voice-enabled chatbot allows users to use the web and switch back and forth from voice to text as needed.

The new voice mode upgrade allows Anthropic’s chatbot to help with productivity by combining natural language processing with practical digital tools. It points out that using voice activation in chatbots is growing which helps user engagement and makes the technology easier to use.

With this, Anthropic expands its role in the chatbot space through the addition of advanced voice features targeted at both everyday chat users and people seeking work-related assistance. Both chatbot enthusiasts and productivity seekers are excited for the full release of voice mode.
