Saudi Arabia steps confidently onto the global cruise map with a homegrown voyage that blends tradition, elegance, and modern tourism.
Aroya Cruises has officially launched its first-ever cruising season in the Arabian Gulf, marking a significant moment for luxury travel and tourism in the region. The cruise line is a subsidiary of Cruise Saudi, which is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and the debut reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing ambitions in global tourism.
The inaugural season will run from February 21 to May 8, offering travelers a fresh and immersive way to explore the Arabian Gulf by sea. Designed with both regional pride and international standards in mind, the voyages aim to combine authentic Saudi hospitality with the comfort and sophistication expected from world-class cruise experiences.
Aroya Cruises promises guests more than just a journey between destinations. Onboard experiences include culturally inspired entertainment, thoughtfully curated dining options, and service rooted in Saudi traditions, all delivered in a modern luxury setting. The goal is to create a travel experience that feels distinctly Arabian while appealing to global travelers.
According to a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the season represents “a new benchmark for luxury travel that showcases Saudi heritage on a global stage.” The cruise line sees this launch as a way to tell Saudi Arabia’s story through hospitality, culture, and design, while opening the Gulf to a wider audience of international tourists.
With its debut, Aroya Cruises is positioning itself as more than a cruise operator. It is emerging as a symbol of how the Kingdom is reshaping luxury tourism, offering travelers a refined, meaningful, and culturally rich way to discover the Arabian Gulf.
