AI continues to transform travel and hospitality, and Amadeus research demonstrates that, despite the challenges, it is helping to improve personalization, convenience and consumer confidence when it comes to travel.
A recent global study by Amadeus shows that travelers are now adopting technology in general and in particular, AI to improve their experience and to alleviate stress. The report, Connected Journeys: How Technology Will Transform Travel in the Next Decade, surveyed 9,500 people traveling in countries such as the USA and UK and other locations such as Spain, India and China.
The findings demonstrate the accelerated increase in traveler demand to generate AI travel ideas; its usage has increased 64% over the last year. Travelers expected time savings, customized advice, and new destination discovery to be the most valuable. In the travel and hospitality industry, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming an essential tool to boost the confidence in decision-making while also providing more personal experiences.
However, there are also seriously highlighted problems since 25% of the sponsors stated that the AI news was outdated or inaccurate. However, 64% still said they would pay for voice assistants that offer in-trip assistance and real-time travel updates in return for insights into their usage of AI technologies.
The Amadeus executives focused on the importance of innovation in the travel and hospitality industries to keep up with expectations. From hyper-personalized hotel reservations to smoother airport check-ins through biometric gates, consumers are seeking convenience, accuracy, and reassurance at every stage of their journey.
