Quectel Launches New LTE Module to Boost Business IoT

Quectel introduces the EG800AK-JP LTE module, which enables Japanese business frameworks with scalable IoT services of smart devices, connectivity, and improved business efficiency.

Quectel Wireless Solutions, an international IoT solution company, has presented the EG800AK-JP LTE Cat 1 bis module at CEATEC 2025 in Japan. The tiny module is based on the ASR1605 chipset, supporting most of the LTE bands in Japan, with 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink, so it can be used in smart metering, asset tracking and a range of business services.

The introduction underscores the end-to-end IoT offering of Quectel, which aims to make industries digital. The company also exhibited the latest technologies of GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Satellite, and LPWA modules at CEATEC in addition to complimentary antennas to improve the performance and security of the gadgets. Visitors also learned more about Quectel value-added services, including testing, certification, RTK correction, antenna design, and ODM solutions.

Other devices that Japanese companies exhibited with Quectel modules included A&D Company cellular weight scales, Century Systems industrial routers, and NEC VersaPro Notebooks. LIMNO Co. exhibited enterprise tablets with Quectel LTE modules, demonstrating the implication of the technology in increasing operational effectiveness on the ground.
