Innovative electric and concept cars and developments in EV technology and AI were showcased at the Paris Motor Show with global debuts from Renault, BMW and Chinese manufacturers.

Electric and concept cars are drawing crowds again at the biennial Paris Motor Show. The event, held at Porte de Versailles, attracted automakers from Europe, Asia and North America for a vibrant come back after previous cancellations and smaller editions.

In this year's show we also saw the world debuts of major European electric vehicle makers. During its unveiling, Renault had unveiled the 4 E-Tech Electric, an electric crossover this SUV has been announced as vitamotoris, referring to a car that one will live in and will be able to accommodate 1,045 liters of trunk space for versatility.

As managed by Citroen, the French automaker also unveiled four world debuts including the updated C4 and C4X, the aerodynamic C5 Aircross, along with a 'multi-energy' family SUV.

BMW also displayed a revamped MINI John Cooper Works from Germany with its "go-kart mode" for even more performance. Its electric NeueKlasse model, for example, presents driving information on the windshield as well as a personal AI assistant.

Two other factors held strong impact was the entrance of Chinese manufacturers with electric and concept vehicles. Leapmotor unveiled the B10, a compact electric SUV featuring advanced driver aid. The P7+ is the world’s first ‘AI defined’ vehicle, which is capable of learning driver preferences to improve the driving experience, said XPeng.

The show also highlighted some innovative green technologies, such as license free electric microcars and an entirely green e-plane. The Paris Motor Show is a reminder of how electric and concept cars are going to play their part in shaping the future of the mobility.
