Helen Leis Appointed as Oliver Wyman’s Global Head of Leadership and Change

Oliver Wyman appoints Helen Leis as Global Head of Leadership and Change to help organizations convert market disruption into a source of strategic strength.

Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, recently announced the appointment of Helen Luis in the company’s newly created role of Global Head, Leadership and Change. Ms. Leis would perform this role’s responsibilities in addition to continuing as Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Americas.

Furthermore, Ms. Leis would be responsible for guiding clients through uncertainty and complex transformations. With organizations coming to terms with rapid and unpredictable changes at present, leaders must respond to the changing environment by adapting quickly, aligning their organizations around new priorities, and translating strategy into sustained action in the long run. Oliver Wyman’s Leadership and Change work helps organizations comprehend new technologies and evolving economic conditions to build the necessary operating models and leadership skills to cope with them, thereby converting disruption into opportunity. According to Nick Studer, President and CEO of Oliver Wyman, “This role is key to advancing the firm’s long-term efforts to embed transformative leadership and change management capabilities across all our work, driving greater alignment, collaboration and impact.” Mr. Studer noted that Ms. Leis is the ideal candidate to help clients overcome their toughest business challenges by demonstrating expertise, leadership, and empathy in operations.

Moreover, Ms. Leis would bring in more than three decades of experience in guiding organizations on complex transformation, integration, and change programs across industries. Her new role would see her working across practices where she would assess the likely areas that may pose leadership and change challenges for organizations. According to her, “The leaders who succeed aren’t those who avoid that tension, but those who use it to help their organizations grow. When that happens, change stops being disruptive and starts becoming a source of strength." CIO Bulletin views Ms. Leis’ appointment to the new role as a strategic move by Oliver Wyman, ensuring clients can devise pragmatic strategies and tools to thrive in times of uncertainty and changing whirlwinds.
