The CD Horizon ModuLeX spinal system from Medtronic includes AiBLE technology which incorporates modular framework together with artificial intelligence and robotic assistance for better spinal procedures.
The global healthcare technology developer Medtronic launched the CD Horizon ModuLeX spinal system to serve deformity procedures. The advanced system consists of the CD Horizon ModuLeX spinal system with the smart AiBLE ecosystem that unites spinal navigation with artificial intelligence and medical imaging with robotic guidance as well as software to produce better predictions in surgical results.
Surgeons can choose between different screw shanks and heads using the modular screw platform of the CD Horizon ModuLeX system during intraoperative procedures to suit individual patient skeletal characteristics. The surgical procedure is better visualized by the in-situ screw placement design and the screws demonstrate tested one-way force retention properties for shaft to head attachment.
The ModuLeX system gives Medtronic leadership due to its potential for improved operating room procedures according to Michael Carter who serves as the vice president of spine and biologics at Medtronic. This product release supports Medtronic's dedicated commitment to developing the spinal care capabilities within its AiBLE ecosystem.
During its earnings call this week Medtronic announced financial success in the third quarter of 2025 and unveiled three new technologies that advance its AiBLE ecosystem for spine and cranial surgical procedures. The company collaborates with Siemens Healthineers to extend high-end imaging technology systems for spinal healthcare.
