Amadeus Fire Acquires Masterplan to Boost E-Learning

Amadeus Fire has acquired Masterplan to add to their e-learning services, strengthening their training service to B2B, as well as promoting growth in the European field of digital tools in education.

Germany's Amadeus Fire Group has acquired 100 percent of Masterplan.com GmbH, a Berlin-based e-learning platform, and now strengthens its lymphocyte in the rising digital B2B training market. The transaction, which has an estimated value of around EUR 20 million, is an important strategic step in the growth of Amadeus Fire's training offering.

Masterplan runs on a cloud home environment SaaS where it offers more than 3500 training videos in 26 languages to over 300 corporate clients by many DAX-listed companies. The platform's AI-driven capabilities and its scalability make it an interesting complement to Amadeus Fire's existing training services, and this improvement improves cross-selling opportunities and operational synergies.

Chief Executive Officer Robert von Wulfing said this move situates the group as one of the main EdTech and e-learning providers, setting up a high-growth model for the B2B segment. With the German e-learning market expected to reach 17 billion euros by 2030, the acquisition facilitates further internationalization and growth.

Monika Wiederhold, Chief Operating Officer, Training at Amadeus Fire, highlighted the fact that the platform is compatible with HR and learning systems, thus forming a strong system infrastructure for digital education across Europe. Masterplan's management team and all of the company's 47 employees will be staying on, providing continuity.

The alliance is a response to increasing corporate demand for digital education, in particular, given AI-powered transformation and a growing skills gap. Stefan Peukert, co-founder of Masterplan, found it to be the perfect collaboration for setting up a scalable European e-learning platform, which helps companies and employees navigate structural and technological change.
