Ev And Concept Cars

Price disputes and concept car markets among China’s EV giants show their industry is facing big difficulties because profits are falling and competitors are rising.
During the 2025 Chongqing Auto Forum, representatives from BYD, Geely, and Great Wall Motor argued about different issues, which revealed the widening disagreements in Chinese electric vehicles (EVs). A previous agreement among companies has broken as they now compete for fewer profits, stronger pricing strategies, and superiority in designing concept cars.
Li Yunfei from BYD started the dispute by blaming rivals for running smear attacks, which was met with Victor Young from Geely bringing up the question of hypocrisy. In another challenge, Wei Jianjun told of a looming “bomb” in the industry. Those conflicts bring out the importance of the EV market as it cuts 100 or more prices in a single month.
Even in the field of concept cars, Huawei and Xiaomi use criticism to highlight their success in selling one model apiece. At the same time, some companies like Chery urge the government to pay more attention to new ideas and invest in core automotive sectors such as autonomous driving and batteries.
As more cars use electric power, makers are working towards making their cars affordable, profitable, and also ahead of the rest in introducing exciting concept cars. Now, the representatives of China’s auto industry are requesting harsher action from the government against unethical business tactics.
Due to the volatility of the market, electric vehicle concepts and innovations are currently a primary focus, as the next developments could significantly impact the future of electric vehicles globally.
