New Platform Simplifies Processes and Speeds Up Time to Market for Italian Machine Builder
IMA Automation, a leading Italian machine builder, is experiencing significant improvements in its machine development process thanks to RapidLaunch, a new platform from Rockwell Automation. This platform is designed to simplify and speed up the design and evolution of automotive solutions, particularly for the assembly of electric vehicle (EV) components.
Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, announced the successful deployment of RapidLaunch by IMA Automation. This new platform offers a globally accepted, scalable, multi-lingual automotive controls standard.
IMA Automation, part of the IMA Group, showcased the capabilities of RapidLaunch with a prototype box cell for assembling EV motors. The company plans to use this for future technologies, especially for the North American market, focusing on other EV drivetrain modules.
RapidLaunch addresses the need for faster implementation in the automotive industry by providing a streamlined development environment. It features a standard code library and automatic code generation, making the development, testing, and deployment of new production cells, lines, and processes simpler and quicker.
Standardization in technology development leads to efficiencies at every stage. RapidLaunch offers scalable and reusable pre-engineered hardware and software solutions, saving critical time during the design phase. This allows OEMs to respond more quickly to market changes.
With RapidLaunch, IMA Automation is poised to enhance its market presence and development capabilities, ensuring faster and more efficient delivery of cutting-edge automotive solutions.
