Nokia is teaming up with Vodafone Qatar to update networks, expand 5G reach and achieve better service reliability by using advanced technologies like cloud and AI.
Nokia will be leading a project for Vodafone Qatar to upgrade the country’s telecom services and bring 5G coverage across more places. Vodafone Qatar will add Nokia’s innovative solutions to its network to make sure more calls and Internet traffic can be handled, while also lowering latency. Nokia will supply cloud-based software including Packet Core, Converged Charging and Networks Data Analytics Function to increase automation, speed and scalability across Vodafone’s multi-access network.
Nokia Digital Operations software will be used to help Vodafone Qatar reach its aim of fully autonomous networks, supported by AI, 5G slicing automation and end-to-end network orchestration. It will allow for more fast-paced service and give users a better and more stable connection.
Raghav Sahgal, president of cloud and network services at Nokia, explained that blending automation between IP and optical networks in addition the five-year managed services deal will ensure fast introductions of telecom services, more savings and building up a network designed for the future.
Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani reported that the modernization will help Vodafone respond more quickly and flexibly to what customers expect. Vodafone seeks to develop an intelligent and safe network by lining up advanced fiber, mobile and cloud services.
By building this partnership, the companies hope to make Qatar’s telecom network more advanced, aligned with ongoing global changes and 5G growth.
